Christmas #3

We left for Yakima, WA. the Monday before Christmas. I was nervous about flying with Rowan, but I was prepared. Backpack full of snacks, toys, warm coats, extra clothes, laptop with DVD's (Mickey Mouse, Wiggles, etc.).
R is nervous around loud noises, like truck engines, so I wasn't sure how she would react to the noise of the planes. BUT...it turns out R is a born flyer. She LOVED the airplane and the noise didn't bother her AT ALL.

She actually did great on the plane ride and slept during our Denver layover. This gives me hope that our eventual trip to Hawaii won't be too bad *fingers crossed*.

It was really cold when we arrived, somewhere close to 15 degrees.

As we enjoyed the mountains of cookies and awesome food, I couldn't wait to take R out into the snow.

I had visions of building a snowman and snowball fights but although there was plenty of snow, it was too dry to stick. But, she absolutely loved her first time in the snow.

She also loved hot chocolate (another first).

She got more awesome presents. Really, she cleaned up for Christmas.

Got to meet her Great Grandmother.

And spent lots of time with Auntie Shelley, her Grammy and her Pappy. And got to meet her Great Aunt Mary and family.

What more could you ask for?

Christmas #2

Our second Christmas was very low key, celebrated at our house the weekend of the 19/20th before we left for Wa. We opened our stockings in bed.
We went to brunch with Leah, Chloe and Allen at Central Market. When we got back home, Rowan opened her big present from us, a play kitchen!! She seemed thrilled. Ha.

She was thrilled once we put it together. And by "we" I mean Sean.

And that was it. Pretty quiet and simple since we were packing and preparing to fly with R for the first time.

The Tale of Three Christmas's

We celebrated Christmas three times this year. First, with my mom and dad on the weekend of Dec 12/13 because my brother Cole was home from Iraq.

Rowan got loads of gifts (all of which she loves), played with chickens & dogs AND spent lots of time with her nana, papa Auntie Rachel and Uncle Cole to name a few.

She even got to take her picture with a Reindeer.

But I think she had THE most fun playing in the leaves...

Happy New Year Everyone!

Hope everyone had a great new year's celebration Sean was working of course, and had a tough night.

Rowan and I partied with tea and cookies around 7pm!! Good times. And hit the sack shortly after.

Here's to a great 2009!!

The McNulty's in Austin

Because we have so many family members and friends that live anywhere but here (Austin) I'm finally going to start a blog so you can keep up with Sean, Rowan and I.

I'll start where we are now...in Dec 08. So obviously we'll be discussing Christmas, or in our case the three Christmas's we just celebrated. But that will come in the next post(s).

And maybe, if I feel like it I'll go retroactive and post pics and stuff from the first 21 months of Rowan's life. And maybe life, pre-baby. What was that like? Can't remember. Sigh.

Enjoy!
